Maiden Gully Handball Club was created in 2021, by people interested in playing the incredibly dynamic, fast-paced and technical sport. We are the first team in the Bendigo region and hope to be the first of many, if you are living in the Bendigo or Loddon Valley and Campaspe areas and are interested in playing handball please contact us, you can have no experience playing the sport or you could be a professional, we don't mind, everybody is welcome to join our club.
We currently train on Thursday nights at the Marist Community Centre in Maiden Gully from 7-9pm (Season begins first week of February).
Our Goals
Our main purpose is to promote and grow handball in Regional Victoria. Currently that means fielding at least one team in the Victorian Handball League and Australia/Oceania Club Championships. We are also looking to found a Women's and Youth Team. Our most important goal is to build participation in the sport and establish a Bendigo Handball League as soon as we possibly can.
2026 Goals:
Get permanent lines down at the Marist Community Centre ✅
Start Bendigo League by end of March
Participate in Oceania Club Championships in Coffs Harbour
Confirm participation in Victorian Handball League ✅
Deliver Handball Programs in schools
